How the numbers are computed

Power. Every leg must hit. With multiplier M and n picks, the entry breaks even when p^n · M = 1, so p = M^(-1/n).

Flex. Partial hits pay. Expected return is the sum over paid outcomes of M_k · C(n,k) · p^k · (1-p)^(n-k). The break-even p is solved numerically where that sum equals 1.

Fair odds convert the break-even probability to decimal (1/p) and American odds.

Questions

What win rate does a PrizePicks entry need to break even?

It depends on the entry. From the official standard table, a 2-pick Power Play needs every leg to hit about 57.7% of the time, and a 6-pick Flex Play about 54.2%. These are derived values that assume independent legs with the same hit probability.

Are the multipliers on this page official?

The multipliers are PrizePicks' published standard payout table (https://www.prizepicks.com/help-center/payouts, retrieved 2026-10-28). Break-even rates, fair odds and expected return are derived from that table on this page and are labeled as derived.

Do goblin and demon lines pay the standard multipliers?

No. Goblin, demon and adjusted-odds lines pay differently, and the board does not publish their multipliers. The explorer marks those lines and does not estimate a payout for them.

Where does the board data come from?

The current PrizePicks board as recorded by prizepicksapi.com, read from the same public endpoint that powers the homepage. The full board, with every field and filter, is GET /api/v1/projections.
